2021 Giro Donne daily update



On this page we'll share the daily chart updates from the 2021 Giro d'Italia Internazionale Femminile (or the Giro Donne, for short). The page will be updated each morning following the stage (Australian time). Remember that you can mouse over each of the charts, dots and lines - all the charts are interactive. As the race progresses, the charts will change as each additional stage of data is added - this is the page to bookmark!

General Classification time gaps

Shows the time gaps for the top 25 riders in the general classification competition. The length of the bars represent the gap to the rider in front in seconds, and if you're lower than second place, then the cumulative length of the bars show your distance from first place. Mouse over the bars for details.


General Classification time swarm

Displays all riders with a top 20 stage finish. The y axis shows the time gap from first place (in seconds). Mouse over the lines for names and positions.


General Classification position swarm

This chart displays all riders GC positions for each stage. The y axis shows the riders place in the General Classification competition. Those who retire are assigned a position of 200 and a dotted line, and move to the bottom of the chart. Mouse over the lines for names and details.


Points jersey classification

This chart shows the daily accumulation of points for the top riders in the points competition. Mouse over the lines for names and details.



Mountains jersey classification

This chart shows the daily accumulation of points for the top riders in the Mountains competition. Mouse over the lines for names and details.



Comparison to the 2020 Giro Rosa

There is little difference between the 2020 and 2021 when comparing distances alone, other than the addition of a tenth stage. Overall the route seems flatter overall, but you can't count out the risk that the organisers throw in a surprise climb they forgot to mention in the road book.



Stage by stage

This chart shows the stage length (in km), as well as a clue as to elevation. Stage 4 is a mountain time trial.
