With the Tour de France each year, everyone goes that little bit harder, that little bit deeper, and that's true for those covering the race as well as those riding it. For the 2020 Tour, I was given the opportunity to publish a series of charts across each of the race days, updating each morning as the complete results were published.
This is my favourite chart for 2019 - so much so that it's usually the first chart in each of the galleries that have followed for other grand tours. It displays the top 25 riders in the general classification competition at the completion of each stage. The vertical gap is an indication of time gaps (in seconds).
